Pastor Richard M. Lorenson (Bio)
Rick Lorenson was born and raised in Michigan. In June of 1970, Rick began to read through the Bible to determine if God was real or not and came to believe that God was indeed real and was choosing him. At this time he placed his trust in Him and came to believe that Jesus Christ died for his sins and was raised that he might have new and eternal life in Him.
He attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette and then went on to Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas where he received a Masters of Theology Degree. Rick brings not only his rich educational background to ministry here at Calvary Bible Church but also a wealth of life experiences; as a commercial sailor, a painter and a retail store manager.
At Calvary, Rick uses his spiritual gifts of teaching and evangelism in heading up areas of Christian education in the church. He oversees the small group ministry, men’s and women’s ministries, discipleship and evangelism. He also finds time to preach when needed, provide premarital and marital counseling, perform weddings and funerals, do one on one discipling, lead a small group and teach a men’s Bible study group.
Rick has been married to his wife, Pam, since 1975.
