The congregation elects Pastors, Deacons, and Elders, who together make up the Official Board. Calvary Bible Church is a hybrid staff-led church with much input from the Official Board. This Board makes decisions for the church and reports to the congregation. Some decisions, according to the CBC constitution, are brought to the congregation for a vote.
The Board Elders is made up of the Pastors of CBC in addition to other men who are elected by the congregation. The Elders are primarily responsible for the spiritual health of the church body. Non-pastoral Elders are elected for a three-year term and may serve two consecutive terms. Pastoral Elders serve indefinite terms.
The Board of Deacons is elected by the congregation and is responsible for the finances, the building, and all other physical aspects of the church. Deacons are elected for a three-year term and may serve two consecutive terms.
