Volunteer now to help with Family Fun in the Park in July!
We are looking for both youth (age 13 to 17) and adult (age 18 and over) volunteers for all positions. To allow us to plan for our volunteers, please click on one (or more!) links below now to sign up to volunteer. There is a maximum number of volunteers needed for each position, so sign up early if you have a special job in mind!
Simple and fun! Serve bagged snacks or cold treats throughout the evening. There is flexibility to serve at a stand or walk around throughout the evening. This is a great way to get to know our neighbors!
Set up a table with mini water bottles for participants to take. Everyone is bound to get thirsty throughout the evening. This is a great place to have a conversation.
Lead some friendly competition! Coordinate 2-3 group or team games from 6:30-7:30. (Games can include relays, races, and other competitive games.)
Help decorate and run carnival-type games throughout the evening. (Examples: ring toss, balloon darts, minute-to-win-it.) Hand out prizes to winners! Run games throughout the evening.
Lead a team in playing a game of basketball or volleyball! We will have games from 6:30-7:30 PM.
Say "cheese"! Set up the back drop and photo props. Assist participants with props. This can be a self-serve selfie station, so no need for any photography talent.
Face Painting & Balloons
Help paint some simple and fun designs at the face painting station! Participants can choose from some "fail proof" pictures or temporary tattoos that will make them smile! Or, help inflate balloons and hand them out.
Little Tykes Play Area
Help set up activities (ball toss, foam blocks, sensory bin) for little ones to play with and win prizes!
Keep an eye out for the overall safety of the group. Assist as needed with first aid supplies.
Assist the greeters in distributing event bracelets for the evening and collect names of "walk-ins" and registered participants. Help others know more about each evening's event by handing out the order of events for that evening.
Say hi! Welcome participants and let them know about the event. Hand out invitations to the other evenings and introduce the participants to other CBC'ers.
Assist in transporting tables and some small equipment to White Oak Park. Assist volunteers as needed. Need to be available between 5:30-6:30 PM.
Make it look like we were never there! Each evening we will need to begin breaking down at 8:00 PM. The area will need to be cleared of any trash. (Most stations will be responsible for their own trash.) Tear down will assist with returning items to CBC. Need to be available between 7:30-8:30 PM.
Put Me Anywhere!
